About Office Automation

The IITG Office Automation initiative, launched in 2006 with support from Prof. Gautam Barua, aims to streamline administrative data collection, enhance transparency, and improve data usage efficiency at IIT Guwahati. Key goals include promoting a paperless office, reducing pressure on resources, standardizing data collection, and addressing challenges in outdated practices. The initiative automates various office functions like student, staff, and faculty administration, leave systems, recruitment, payroll, and more. The Office Automation Team plans to expand this automation in the future. More
